Cookies & Browser Storage

This page explains the cookies and browser-storage technologies used by the Function Labs website. Browser storage such as localStorage and sessionStorage can be covered by the same UK storage/access rules as cookies. We do not use third-party advertising trackers, retargeting cookies or social-media tracking pixels.
Analytics Preference
The Function Labs website uses first-party analytics built into the platform. Analytics is off by default and only runs after you allow it. Function Labs deliberately excludes names, email addresses, telephone numbers and message content from analytics event properties. Optional first-touch and UTM attribution storage is also only written after analytics has been allowed. You can change your choice at any time.
Your choice is stored in localStorage so the website can remember and respect it. Declining analytics does not affect normal website functionality. The support conversation identifier is only created when you use Support and is needed to continue that requested support session.
Browser Storage Used

| Application configuration | Identifies the app instance and routing information needed to connect to services. |
| fl_analytics_consent | Stores your analytics preference (allowed or declined) so the website can respect your choice. |
| fl_first_landing | Records the first page you landed on in this session, so enquiries carry useful source attribution. |
| fl_utm_params | Records campaign parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, etc.) from your first visit, so enquiries carry attribution. Does not store full referrer URLs. |
| fl_support_conv_id | Identifies your support conversation so the assistant can maintain context within a session. |
What We Do Not Use
- Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar third-party analytics trackers
- Advertising or retargeting cookies (Google Ads, Meta Ads, etc.)
- Social media tracking pixels (Facebook, LinkedIn, X/Twitter)
- Third-party cookies of any kind
Managing Your Data
You can clear all browser storage at any time through your browser settings. This will sign you out and reset session-based features, but will not affect data stored in your account. For privacy questions, email support@functionlabs.co.uk.
